"THE SOCIAL CLUB"

A social club open to all members of the church. They usually meet on the 1st Monday in school term.

EXPANDING OUR FAITH

"Expanding Our Faith" group meets on Monday mornings in various homes for Bible Study, Prayers and Fellowship. Contact Joan on 9584 5704 for details.

TUESDAY FRIENDSHIP GROUP

This fellowship group for ladies is now well established, meeting in the morning on a monthly basis at the Church. Activities are informal and provide an opportunity to get to know other church folk who otherwise only meet on Sunday mornings.

BayCISS - Bayside Citizens Information and Support Services

BayCISS is one of many organisations our church supports. Groceries and other household items are regularly collected and taken to BayCISS to help prople in need.

BayCISS was established  in 2006 with the amalgamation of three former Community Advice Bureaus (Hampton East, Sandringham and Brighton) and the Castlefield Community Centre. BayCISS has been providing services in the local area since 1973 when the Hampton East  and Brighton Centres were opened. The Sandringham Centre opened in 1974. The Brighton Centre closed in September 2014 due to changed community needs. 

BayCISS is a registered not-for-profit community charity providing services which cover Activities, Budget and Bill Assistance, Child Care & Playgroups, Counselling,  Education Support Program, Emergency Relief, Information & Advocacy, Legal Services, No Interest Loan Scheme and Tax Help.

From their Annual report -

"Our organization experienced increases in every aspect of service delivery from last year with service user numbers increased by 10%; emergency relief visits rose by 11%;  visitors experiencing homelessness up by 30%;  occasions of service through our casework program increased by 46%; enquiries soared with more enquiries to the service in the last three months than the entire previous year; referrals to our family counselling program exceeding expectations by 10%; our volunteer base doubled; and the introduction of two new services - a new home delivery and utility relief assistance program."
